Microirrigation Solutions for a Sustainable Future
This page is under construction.
At 2026 ASABE global symposium on microirrigation, we are committed to providing solutions on sustainable microirrigation for helping to save our planet from water shortage. The technical presentations/ panel discussions & poster sessions are designed to help farmers and growers maximize their crop yields while minimizing the water usage. We will discuss wide range of products and services including drip irrigation systems, fertigation/chemigation equipments, robotics, soil moisture sensors, and more. The experts at this symposium are well-known scientists for delivering the highest quality teaching/ research / outreach tools to attendees. Drip Irrigation Systems
The drip irrigation systems deliver water & nutrients directly to the root zone of plants, minimizing water loss due to evaporation and runoff. This results in higher crop yields and reduced water usage. There are variety of drip irrigation systems in the market to suit different crop types, land topography and climatic & field conditions.

Chemigation Equipments
The fertigation & chemigation equipment allows farmers to apply chemicals, fertilizers and nutrients through irrigation water directly to the root zone of plants. Soil moisture distribution under the emitters is of onion - shape. This ensures that plants receive the right amount of nutrients at the right time, resulting in healthier plants and higher crop yields. Daily maintenance is essential to avoid clogging of drip lines & emitters. Always apply recommended chemicals during middle of irrigation cycle.

Soil Moisture Sensors
Soil moisture sensors (smart irrigation) can help farmers to optimize the irrigation scheduling by providing real-time data on soil moisture levels. This ensures that plants will receive the right amount of water at the right time, reducing water waste and improving crop yields.

One-day Outreach tools & Support (Only for farmers/ agronomists from Puerto Rico) on January 18, 2026 in office club of PBR.
Outreach & capacity building programs will offer comprehensive training and support (in Spanish) to ensure that farmers & agronomists will get the most out of the microirrigation systems. One-day outreach seminars (only for farmers & agronomists from Puerto Rico) by experts will provide in-class training, troubleshooting, and maintenance services to help farmers and growers maximize their crop yields and minimize their water usage.
Contact <goyalmegh@gmail.com> to learn more about training and support services that are available in Puerto Rico.
